Dr. J. Mark (Doc) Judy

Dr. J. Mark (Doc) Judy is the 7th generation on his family’s Centennial Farm in the Brown’s Run area of Montgomery County. His son Alan, Farm Manager, is the 8th generation on the farm. His other three children are also involved in agriculture, with Janet & Susanne on the local farm, and Jennifer on a farm in Hillsboro, Ohio. His great-granddaughter, the 10th generation, is already a three-year veteran of showing pigs at the age of four.

From his grandfather on, the family has practiced soil conservation methods on their three farms, where they raise corn, beans and wheat. Conservation methods the family uses include 100% no-till for many years, grid soil sampling, and 17,226 feet of waterways. Doc Judy also served the Germantown area as a veterinarian until he retired in 2008, allowing him to focus more time on the farming operation.

His goal for being on the Montgomery SWCD Board is to see that the conservation practices the Montgomery SWCD promotes and that are used on their family’s farms are continued. In addition, Doc Judy has been partnering with the Montgomery SWCD for our various Farm Tours and Festivals for many years by demonstrating antique farm machinery to teach and help preserve our agricultural heritage.

Bill (Wilbur) Meyer

A 43-year resident of Clay Township, Bill (Wilbur) Meyer is a 4th generation farmer who continues his family's legacy by farming corn, beans, and wheat. He is a good steward of the land by supporting drainage efforts and using a variety of cover crops that benefit soil conditions and the overall health of the crop.   Technology is ever-changing and Bill strives to stay abreast especially in the areas of variable rate fertilizer and seeding and multi-hybrid seeding. Bill and his wife, Denean, are active supporters of many local charities. Bill also has two children Elizabeth Scout and Wilbur Jacob.

Bill graduated from Miami Valley Career Technology Center with an emphasis on Industrial Design, giving him experience with CAD systems. He has over 20 years’ experience in shop and farm management. His knowledge and experience have given him a solid understanding of soil conditions and the importance of land conservation. If elected, Bill will work hard to help keep land preserved for future generations.

Andrew O'Diam

My wife Stacy, and I have two kids Sydney (5) and Asa (3). We live in Farmersville where I was born and raised. I grew up working with my dad, grandpa and uncles on our family’s farm. I graduated from Ohio State with a degree in Agricultural Business and Applied Economics.

Upon graduation, I relocated to Indiana for a few years while working for Consolidated Grain and Barge at several of their river terminals. I currently work for Diversified Crop Insurance Services as a Crop Insurance Adjuster. Additionally, with my brother and uncles I am continuing with the family tradition of farming, growing crops throughout the county.
